MCM Air Handling Unit

MCM Pre-conditioned Air Handling Unit is the equipment of choice for central air conditioning installations. The air handling unit is intended for mounting under the passenger loading bridge, but can also be ground-mounted.

The air handling unit has been engineered to provide conditioned (25°F LAT) air to the parked aircraft, but can also provide heat using either hot glycol-water solution or a staged electric heater. The unit is fully self-contained and can accommodate a wide range of aircraft. MCM is using PLC control to monitor the ambient and discharge temperatures to maintain a comfortable cabin temperature while the aircraft is parked at the gate. The entire control enclosure can be remote mounted for easier maintenance access. The use of a Variable Frequency Drive Controller optimizes the air flow and delivered air temperature. The MCM pre-conditioned air handling equipment will handle bridge cooling, heat-soaked aircraft pull-down, in addition to the standard cooling, ventilation and heating requirements.
