400Hz Line Drop Compensator
MCM Engineering manufactures a full series of Line Drop Compensators (LDC’s), designed to maintain unity power factor for your 400Hz ground power distribution system.
MCM LDC’s automatically adjust for capacitive reactance to the circuit in order to cancel inductive reactance of the transmission system preventing line drop losses. The result is a stable line voltage between the centralized power sources (motor-generator/frequency converter) and aircraft’s input receptacle
